Daybreak Caravan was born in the middle of the ocean, halfway between the Old and New Worlds. Drawing inspiration from blues, soul, rock, gospel, and world music, the band brings a style of roots music that blends heritage with exploration—a cultural crossroads where ideas come together to capture the essence of our common humanity.
Lorenzo Piccone is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from the northwestern coast of Italy. Equally at home playing his Weissenborn, mandolin, or electric guitar, he brings a youthful energy to the stage while belting out tunes like an old soul.
Megan Richardson is a drummer and songwriter from the sunset side of California. With a background in classical music, a classic-rock upbringing, and immersive training in contemporary styles, she digs deep to bring a heart-first approach to both her playing and writing.
For years the two musicians’ paths crisscrossed the globe, infusing a spice mix of cultures and musical traditions, until they finally collided in Nashville, Tennessee. Their combined experiences have come together into a cohesive brand of hazel-eyed soul that is adventurous, sincere, and yet familiar.
